Swimming with the horses

I have NEVER done this before ! It was SO COOL. This is a small moutain lake at the Dupont. We have been taking ourselves swiming after rides, because it fells so good . Today was just to perfect, so we took the horses in with us !!

The water is a funny color because the horses stired up the bottom, they "pawed" their way in, to be sure it was safe.
Fenix and Shellsea both laughing. Fenix loved the water, as long as she wasn't on his back. He was very vocal about his pleasure !

Midge and Dicks

Traverse City is SO Beautiful. Of course it is Cherry Capitol of the US. We had fun picking fresh cherries. The cherries were thick and sweet this year

Isn't Midge a beautiful woman. Outside and in !

Alpacas. I was facinated with these darling South American Alpacas. There is a breading farm right next to Midges house www.gatewayranch.com. Jane was so nice to show us around. Please visit her website to see more.

Midges home is a place fo tranqulity and speachless beauty. They overlook GrandTraverse bay and the view changes and facinates by the minute - and that's not all - at night the stars are spectacular. Shellsea and I are very fortunate to be invited and loved here. Thank you Midge

Summer 06 Camp

We are finally back. Shellsea was gone 3 weeks, me a week - felt like 3 weeks. I am going to try to catch up on fun with blog. this could take awhile-- we had lots of fun.

This was Shellseas last year at camp, as a camper. Next year she hopes to be a counsler. I think she will be a great counsler ! She had a GREAT time this year, the oldest kids get the best priveliges.
