We FINALLY did it !! My day of glory ! I've been waiting for this since August. Broken bones, weather, missing horses couldn't stop me.
Our ride yesterday at the Biltmore Estate was perfect. We rode through 3 hours of marked trails. The ride sponcers had jumps placed all along the way, I wanted to jump them in the worse way, but I am still to scared. Unfortunantly the scenery is really pretty gray with all the trees bare. The experience is still fun. Fenix was great. Cashmere couldn't stop acting stupid, Shellsea had to fight with her to keep her back, she want to get to quick --- She'll learn. If anyone can straighten her out, it' s Shellsea. I am so proud of the whole event. Both horses went easily into the trailer, the traffic was sane, even passing Christmas mall shopping, we had all the tack we need, and back ups, the weather was crisp and dry. It was GREAT !! I can't wait to go again, and now that we know we can do it, we will take off on independent rides. Maybe next weekend we can ride the Dupont !
